Back in 2014, I attended my first Mai Tai event on Maui. Little did I know I was about to be taken on 2.5 year Mai Tai adventure. 

I slowly became Mai Tai's creative/music director and event photographer. Started by Susi Mai and Bill Tai - Mai Tai Global was a group of like-minded entrepreneurs in tech that found a common interest in the extreme sport of kiteboarding, networking, and ocean conservation. With events on Maui, Necker Island, Cabarete, New York, Utah, and Perth. 

I was stoked to have a gig using all my skills. I was designing all the swag, digital assets, and printed materials, creating a vibe for the brand. Photo documenting all the events and kiteboarding action. And Djing multiple times per event - one event, I think I clocked 32 hrs of music over six days. I was meeting interesting people, learning about technology and kitesurfing. For an island boy with a business degree, I soon felt at home. They also founded the Extreme Tech Challenge, Blockchain Summit, and The Ocean Gala, which I also helped brand and document. The Mai Tai tribe became family, and I was sad when the organization dissolved in Jan 2017.
